The ‘hottest ship’ of 2016
The most expensive ship of 2016 is set to leave the port of Oakland and head south to port in the middle of the night.
Harbor Freight Camera, the company that runs the Oakland-bound container ship, will be taking over the ship from the Port of Oakland in California.
“We have been working with the Port to schedule the port closure for this weekend,” the company’s director of public affairs, Jennifer DeGuzman, said in a statement.
“The Port will be providing additional security for this ship to ensure it can continue its operations safely during the closure.”
The company also says it will have a “significant number” of workers at the port.
“The ship is the largest ship in the world, and the port is home to a large number of container ships,” the statement reads.
“This is the most expensive container ship to leave Oakland and one of the most congested ports in the US.
This is also the busiest port in America, with the port handling almost 5 million containers per year.”
The ship, which will be docked in Oakland at the Port on Monday, will leave Oakland on Sunday morning.
