How to find a freight handler in Texas
A new tool allows truckers to quickly and easily find a warehouse in Texas, with no paperwork, and an easy-to-use website that helps you make the connection.
“The best way to get an idea of what to expect is to visit a truck stop in the state,” said John Kocher, a trucker who runs a trucking consulting company.
“You can’t get a list of warehouses in a city without going to a truck-stop.”
The site, called Freight Finder, allows truck drivers to search for a truck and track its route from point A to point B. You can also see the cost per mile for the trip and other information like what the vehicle weight is and how much fuel it will use.
“You’ll see how much cargo is coming into the state and the amount of fuel the vehicle is carrying, and how many trucks are moving in and out of the state to do this,” Koccher said.
“I’m using this to help my clients in the future, because I can see it and I can track it.”
A freight handler will give you the location of a truck warehouse in an area with a minimum of 1,500 trucks, and they can also give you an approximate route.
You may also get some tips on how to avoid certain states, such as truckers being charged a high toll if they leave the state without paying the toll.
Freight Finder has been in use since December 2015 and Kochel said it’s gotten more popular since then.
He said truckers are more interested in trucking through Texas, especially since the state has become a popular tourist destination.
“When I used to be in the shipping business, there were only a handful of states that offered this service, and we had to go through a lot of paperwork,” Kuchel said.
“Now there’s so much going on with freight moving all over the country.”
Freight Filer’s website says it works by providing real-time tracking information for any trucks in the United States and Canada that are moving into or out of Texas.
The website lists more than 2,600 warehouses, with more than 1,000 of those in Texas.
The website also lists warehouses in other states, like Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah and Virginia.
The company also provides a database of all trucks in Texas as well as a list with all the trucks currently in the trucking business.
It’s unclear if the Texas warehouses are currently filled with any goods.
Kocher said he’s seen a huge spike in truckers searching for truckers in Texas since Freight Finders started operating.
He said the surge in interest in Freight Filler is partly due to the fact that the website is now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Kucher said it could be years before Freightfinder becomes the standard for finding truckers.
He noted that FreightFiler has only been in operation for a year and a half.
He also noted that there’s an additional hurdle to the service.
“It requires a truck driver’s license and it requires a company that is in business, and that’s a little bit of a hurdle,” Kecher said.
However, Koche said FreightFinders’ business model is working well.
The site is generating revenue and he’s optimistic it can grow even further in the near future.
“There’s so many people looking for trucking in Texas right now,” Kacher said, “and Freightfinders can provide them with a service.”
Kochel and Kucher also offer other services for truck drivers, including a free phone call that can be answered by the trucker.
He also offers a $20 online insurance policy for truck operators.
Kocoers website also allows truck owners to find other services that they can use to help reduce their insurance premiums.
For example, Kocaer offers a service that helps companies and individuals with a truck insurance policy.
He offers a free online service that can help you find out if your truck is in a low or high risk category.
He added that the company has had to cut back on advertising and its website is currently being updated with more details about its new truck insurance service.
Kocaer said he believes Freightfiler’s services have helped reduce the insurance premiums that truckers pay and that Freighterfiler has been a great addition to the industry.
“It’s going to be a little while before the industry gets around to a Freight filer service that will be able to compete with other companies,” Kocaers said.
